Diego Fagundez’s agent, Maurizio Sacco, has denied the striker is ready to accept defeat after the match against Bologna on Sunday.
Sacco, who has been a member of the coaching staff of the Serie A champions since 2012, was quoted as saying by Sky Sport Italia.
“No, not at all.
No regrets,” he said.”
We will try to make a comeback next season.
That’s why we’re not going to give up.
We’re just happy that we were able to win.”
The 24-year-old has not played since he picked up an injury in the second half of the 2-0 win over Bolognese on August 6, leaving him out of the first half of Saturday’s Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow.
Fagundes is a free agent at the end of the season and he could be free to sign a new deal at the weekend.
However, he remains on the lookout for a new club and has been linked with the likes of Milan, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.
“I’m very happy, but it’s only natural to be happy,” he told the L’Equipe newspaper.
“This is my dream.
“Everything is good. “
I’m sure we’ll be able to achieve what we set out to do, but I have to make sure I stay focused. “
Everything is good.
I’m sure we’ll be able to achieve what we set out to do, but I have to make sure I stay focused.
I know that.”
Sacco also claimed that Fagunos current form has not changed.
“Daniels is playing in his second Champions League game and it has been his most productive season,” he added.
“He’s a great footballer and a great player for the club.”
